Hiriya School is the first single session School in Male' and is the second only girls school in the Maldives. The School is build under Japanese government grant aid.Hiriya School is housed in a 4 story building and has design capacity of 1500 students.The school has 25 class rooms and other essential facilities and was constructed with the objective of providing a relief to the ever increasing student population of Aminiyya School.
The school was officially opened on 13th September 2009 by the President of Maldives his excellency Mr.Mohamed Nasheed
